Acapella Eazy Dry is an impregnating agent that goes down in to the fabric and stays there. Other impreg-nations may contain wax or silicone, these lay down as A lid on the fabric. This causes it to be worns out fast of saltwater, sun and wind. Use it for your boat canvas, clothes, shoes, awnings, tent etc.

Start by cleaning the canvas with Acapella Cleaner,
which has been specifically developed for washing
awnings and boat covers. Other cleaning agents can
damage the fibres in your boat cover. Mix one part

Carefully shake the tin of Acapella Renovation Fluid. Pour into a container and stir. If you have several tins of Acapella Renovation Fluid, these must be mixed together to avoid any differences in shade.

Before and after
The lifetime of your boat cover is not unlimited. After 4-5 years it's often quite a different cover from what was once fresh, colourful and watertight. But good maintenance can extend the lifetime considerably.
You should store your boat cover in a dry place at normal room temperature during the winter. Wash your boat cover with Acapella Cleaner. Allow the boat cover to dry completely, then fold it without folding across any windows.

It's important to know that chemical washing and strong solvents are disastrous for canvas, and can cause serious damage to windows, colour and impregnation. When you have washed your boat cover and it has dried, it's time to impregnate it. After washing, the impregnation agent will have been washed out, and it's time to re-impregnate it.

Useful information:
  • Patchy canvas: If any part of your canvas becomes patchy, dilute Acapella with 10% water and apply again to the patchy section.
  • Spots: Remove wet spots of Acapella with water, and dried ones with white spirit. Spots on windows should be removed immediately. Be careful when using solvents on plastic window panes.
  • Runs: If you get runs when you hang up the canvas, remove them immediately with a brush. When you have washed and impregnated the boat cover, it may leak slightly during the first rain. This is because the canvas needs to become wet to swell up and return to its normal form. After this it will be waterproof once again. It may help to soak the canvas before you use it on the boat.
  • Colour choice: You can't change the colour of a coloured canvas.
  • PVC and rubber-coated surfaces: Acapella Renovation Fluid does not work on these surfaces. Acapella Cleaner works Great!
  • Cleaning: Clean brushes in water.
  • Drying time: The canvas will be touch dry after around 4 hours and use dry after around 2-3 days. If necessary it can be aired for 24 hours outdoors to remove odours.
